    1. A collection featuring work by all manner of impressive creators Alan Moore, Christopher Priest, Steve Lieber, Conner and Palmiotti, Loeb Sale, Paul Dini, Gary Frank and which still fails to convince me that Vampirella can ever be than mildly embarrassing cheesecake She kicks demon arse, she kicks human arse, she muses on who is the real monster is it the businessman in his suit and tie , all while barely staying in her costume, or disrobing at almost tasteful angles Mostly it just leaves me f [...]

    2. This is the third Vampirella book I ve read I m working my way through the Masters Series, although I skipped vol, 3 The previous volumes focused on specific authors whereas this volume collects 11 stories by various writers and artists This is both a strength and a weakness The plus side is that we get to see some top talent handle Vampi, the bad side is that there is no cohesion the volume Vampi has quite a lengthy, complex and convoluted history and the stories collected here all come from di [...]

    3. If this is really the best of Vampirella, it doesn t paint a great picture of the overall quality True, some of the stories are by some of the best in the comics business, but they don t seem to have invested much in the stories Things like Fantasy Feast, where laxatives play a key role, or the Killing Floor, a decent if uninspired story about a cult in a slaughterhouse, make up this collection with no real standouts The art on Ink is good, and Alan Moore s story feels like part one of a good st [...]

    4. A variety plate of 11 stories by 11 different creative teams, this volume provides a nice change of pace from the longer arcs presented in the first three volumes of this series Though I tend to favour stories I can sink my teeth into no pun intended , Volume 4 will undoubtedly come in handy on those nights my attention span is lacking than usual The stories predictably range in both tone and quality the artwork is a knockout throughout.

    5. It s like a 3.5, because it is one of those collections worth holding on to The art is great and I like the short story format This is my first Vampirella reading and I have trouble imagining it in longer story arcs, although the compassionate and just sides of Vampirella seemed to have a lot of potential.

    6. Collection of single issue stories, plus an unrelated Dracula story for some reason It might be a great collection if I d been reading the comics for decades, but I haven t so it all seems pretty random No unifying theme or curatorial vision, vastly different visions of the character, possibly not even in chronological order.

    7. Mixed bag of stories by various writers and artists Not as good as the previous three volumes, but damn good art.

    8. What a mixed up bag of stories this was From sheer boring stupidity to nice ones Same goes with the art.But surprisingly, Alan Moore wrote one of the stronger stories in this one.
