    1. It s a rare thing to find a fantasy read that can effectively combine all of the good things about epic fantasy with all the fun of a coming of age YA novel while making you laugh out loud Long Days in Paradise, the first in the Shards of Heaven series achieves just that From the first introduction of Jorden Miles, a seventeen year old who finds himself in a strange world where nothing seems quite as it should be, I was hooked Jorden is immediately likeable and believable, and I found myself roo [...]

    2. When I picked up this book not literally, since it was an ebook , I really didn t know what to expect I had read the outline, but still didn t really know what it would be ABOUT I was very pleased to find that it was indeed a spectacular fantasy I feel the need to outline a little of the plot, for those who may have been confused or misled by the blurb, as I was The story begins in Tasmania with Jorden Miles, a teen in poor health When he stumbles inexplicably into a foreign paradise, he finds h [...]

    3. I m afraid this book needs an editor, both to resolve the many mistakes in the text and to cut the story down from its current, indulgent feeling length Taf was a great character who really kept me reading, by far the best thing about the book, but Jorden came off poorly and that s not what you want from a main character.I d give this story a haircut get to meeting Taf as soon as possible, as that represents the true heart of the story That would cut 20% of the story out but, frankly, this book [...]

    4. Good ebook I had no idea what to expect in this book In the end it was good but a bit confusing at some parts I liked Jorden as the MC and the authors writing is good I wish I could give it stars.

    5. Absolutely loved it and the second book Time of the Dula Kaena I am now reading the third book The Face of Destiny Fantastic series would highly recommend it to the young at heart.

    6. The character of Jordon Miles is well developed in this fantasy in which an ordinary teenager finds himself in another dimension where everything is not what it seems.
