    1. This adventure involves an invisible donut and real cookies There is creativity in the story here, but Bean Dog and Nugget just can t compare as a comedy duo to Mo Willems Elephant and Piggie.

    3. I was told that I would need to cover my mouth to cover all the laughing escaping from my lips but it turns out I m not the target audience for this series For parents wanting to introduce their youngest to the world of graphic novels I could see this working, but aside from that very niche audience I can t seeing them having much appeal As a fan of incredibly odd, random humor for example, Comedy Bang Bang this read like something trying too hard to be odd and random.

    4. This graphic book is the story of two friends names Bean Dog and Nugget The story begins with Bean Dog trying hard to concentrate in order to make himself invisible Wanting him to pay attention Nugget says that she has a donut in hopes that he will open his eyes He does so and sees that no such donut exists Nugget claims that it is an invisible donut and that he cannot see it After doing tricks and trying to make Bean dog believe, it is finally revealed that there was never a donut To get reveng [...]

    5. Bean Dog and Nugget are two friends who are constantly being silly and having fun with one another It opens with Bean Dog concentrating very hard on becoming invisible when Nugget interrupts his thinking process The two go on to dispute whether or not a donut exists and who should get the bigger half of a cookie The two characters interact playfully and let their imagination run wild. This simple graphic novel would be a good introductory book to a young reader The vocabulary is simple and the ch [...]

    6. Bean Dog and Nugget The Cookie by Harper is about two characters, Bean Dog and Nugget They fight over a cookies and an invisible donut Both of these characters create a funny environment because they bring invisibility into their fighting Although they fight, they are friends and show the audience a typical argument between children. The illustrations in this book stay similar throughout the whole story The illustrator also uses the same colors throughout the book The facial expressions of the ch [...]

    7. Text to self Sharing, in general, stuck out to me in this text I have 3 younger brothers and I know how tempting it can be to sneakily eat food that isn t yours or isn t split up equally When I had family dinners, I would point to an object and grab food off my youngest brother s plate It worked every time Text to text One book that came to mind while I was reading this was Stone Soup by Jon J Muth In this book, people from the village help create Stone Soup by bringing their own ingredients and [...]

    8. This comic book style bedtime story, and it wasn t too bad really it just wasn t read twice material The illustrations were bare bones, but did their purpose Wasn t a fan of the voices I used either if there was a next time I might be able to do better, but I think there won t be a next time.

    9. I don t like this one as much as the first Bean Dog and Nugget graphic novel In this book, Nugget lies to Bean Dog about having a donut and then Bean Dog tricks Nugget so that he can snatch the bigger half of a cookie, which they each wanted The characters act selfishly and the humor feels a bit mean spirited.

    10. Simple line art comic about two imaginative friends trying to share three cookies This was very popular with my kindergarten and 1st grade classes when I was school visiting I think kids can really relate to Bean Dog and Nuggets dilemmas Be sure and also check out their other adventure The Ball.

    11. Bean Dog wants to be invisible, so he concentrates Nugget wants attention, so she invents an imaginary donut Later Nugget brings out 3 cookies They each get one, but what should happen to the big half of cookie number three

    12. Funny graphic novel for young kids new to the graphic novel format The humor and friendship dynamics between Bean Dog and Nugget remind me of the Piggie and Elephant books This one made LOL at the end.

    13. Great for first grade readers They really get the humor but it s appropriate too They were in line to borrow this one

    14. Number two in the new easy to read graphic novel series about two interesting characters and life experiences This one focuses on using your imagination.

    15. Kids will really enjoy this one because here is a dilemma they can really relate to And possibly steal the solution Fun.
