    3. A good suspense novel that is like nothing else I decided to treat myself to something new in the genre, and I am very glad I chose The Screen Conspiracy The reader is pulled into the action effectively and artfully, and the book is a hard one to put down after that As a respite from the routine of the ordinary that can wash over all of us, I would strongly recommend an escape into Black s latest work.

    4. I wasn t sure what this book was about, but I d heard good things about it, and all were true Once it gets going, the action doesn t stop Interesting characters and a very good plot, one to think about when you re unable to continue reading The author raises some good points about security, and maybe about what we think we want.

    5. Very good pace, plausible plot and solid believable characters Would definitely recommend this book as one well worth reading.

    6. If I could do half stars, I would actually give this book 3.5 I suspect it plays better to a British or European audience than to an American one, as it feels a little out of touch with its setting and protagonists Overall, it s a decent thriller with some good action sequences in the second half, though it does start slow. The protagonist is an anachronism, an older gentleman who s lost in the things the kids these days are doing and into He s thrown into the world of computers without a clue ho [...]

    7. In Jack Halpin, Maxwell Black has created a character who most people of a certain age will relate to In an ever changing, technical world, Jack finds himself adrift as his career has hit the skids and he is constantly sidelined before eventually being given a token job in the computer division of his company It s whilst there that he stumbles upon evidence that a group of powerful people, including members of the government, are blackmailing senators into voting for anti terrorism laws by plant [...]

    8. A Kindle Unlimited read I found via Twitter, the first from that social media source, I found the book trailer and synopsis intriguing I did not read the first edition and unfortunately, I discounted many of the early reviews.Mr Black exhibits some good storytelling skills with interesting characterization except for choice in names Ana Ina and Jack Jock that caused early confusion The Screen Conspiracy does contain some thrilling action adventure scenes, yet the poor e book formatting, frequent [...]

    10. The Screen Conspiracy is a book you will not be able to put down It will shock and awe you as to how far people will go to control their government and its citizens to do their bidding Jack Halpin, the protagonist is a disappointment to his wife and Senator father in law He is not ambitious but just wants to feel needed and useful He is transferred to a large computer division in the company where he is employed He finds corruption and deceit in the use of computer technology which leads him to [...]

    11. The end justifies the means of the beginning The book was off to such a slow start that I almost didn t finish it, but I m so glad I did The groundwork was laid and I could even get a glimmer of the culprits before they were revealed, but I could not have guessed the means by which victory is obtained over evil forces What an exciting method to arouse a reader I would have given this a five star rating, but I was annoyed over the detailed lesson of how a bill is introduced and the navigation pro [...]

    12. A Gripping, Edge on Your Seat, Page Turning ThrillerThis story begins with an elected official found dead from an apparent suicide The protagonist, Jack Halpin has just been transferred to a large web hosting company The author brings together a diverse group of good, bad and ruthless characters from law enforcement, politics, and the tech world The narrative begins to unfold, exposing secrets, cover ups, deception, manipulation, blackmail and murder and how the abuse of money, power, and influe [...]

    13. My main preference of reading is horror and thrillers I had never tried a Political thriller so I thought I would give The Screen Conspiracy a look It is an interesting look at the CIA trying to blackmail senators and sway their votes A child pornography indignity is involved not too farfetched depending on what aspects of the government you have examined throughout the years This is a suspenseful enthralling thriller and the story itself keeps you interested to want to know what will happen nex [...]

    14. Absolutely abysmal Self indulgent conservative claptrap Every Hispanic we meet in the book is a thief and or illegal immigrant every man the hero doesn t like turns out to be a paedophile whether that is germane to the story or not The author even manages to throw in some anti Semitic conspiracy theory at the very end of the book. The last ten pages or so are solely there to ensure all the good guys come out on top or at least are exonerated postmortem , and all the bad guys get their just desser [...]

    15. Great readThis book had my interest from start to finish The twists and turns Great action, very interesting characters involving a topic that needs some controls I highly recommend.

    16. Entertaining and Thought provoking An excellent job of tackling a difficult topic Intricate plot line alongside awkwardly love able characters Picks up pace as it progresses.

    17. If you re looking for a good political thriller, look no further I look forward to reading future books from this author.

    18. A rogue CIA operative, a corrupt police commissioner, power hungry members of the Senate who blackmail and murder to get what they want Overall a great read.
