    1. OMFG I have only been waiting for 2 years for this sequel, book one was Published November 20th 2010.I need to read book 1 again, my poor brain cells cannot store all these books.UPDATEDIf I have to wait 2 years to read a sequel, I expected something wonderful I m afraid I was a little bit disappointed, I liked book 1 better. There is plenty room for sequels, do we have to wait another 2 years to find out what happen with the story line and the rest of the characters I hope not.

    2. Loved it I even loved this book even than the first book and I loved that one too What can I say about Poppygh I cried for him, the bad things that happened to him He was so sweet and innocent It was so sad, what made it bearable to read is that he had Dean in his life they were perfect for each other I m so looking forward to the next book Stormy rocked this one and I love this seriesI read this too fast

    3. As much fun as the first book, this sequel continues the story of the unusual cat shifters who recently discovered their true king, Noah Both Noah and his mate Gage are back, but this book focuses on Dean Gage s friend and a man he rescues when looking for traces of another team member The mix of tension and humor is well balanced, but this book leans toward the suspense as dark machinations are discovered.Poppy is a great guy, and wonderful despite what he has been through Abused for years, h [...]

    4. If Dean wasn t a master, what was he Only masters were allowed to walk around without leashes and a collar or even a guard.Well, if Dean obviously is not a pet and that s the limit of your knowledge of the types of people that exist, then he could still be a guard, huh It s by no means a big deal but that sort of reasoning always gets to me.Okay, again this story does not bear close scrutiny Or even mid distance one But it just hits the spot for my anyway.Realism factor none enjoyment factor oh [...]

    5. This book continues the story from the first This story involves Dean, Gage s best friend coworker Dean wants to find his own mate He is living with Gage and Noah and works along side of them He and Gage are still trying to investigate their old boss and find out what shady business they are into They find out where Marcus is being held They think it might be a trap but they are willing to still go to save him Marcus is another from there team that ended up missing When Dean shows up at the loca [...]

    6. The second book is a good read, but it doesn t have the same lighthearted banter of the first The story is still interesting though I like Poppy as a character Not really sure how I feel about the big revelation as to who he is, but that doesn t diminish the character in any way for me.

    7. 4.5 stars I m hoping that at some point in the future, the author comes back to this series as there is so much left to do I loved Poppy, once he broke out of his shell, he was a badass I wanted to see the bad guys killed for what they did.

    8. 4 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress This story is part of a series and I recommend it be read in order Poppy has lived a life of hell, even knowing he could be hurt Poppy tries to save his friend Marcus and Marcus s friends from a deadly trap, never knowing that one of the men he tries to save will change his life forever Dean is set to find his friend Marcus and is astounded when a badly abused little guy saves them from ambush, Poppy clings to him and Dea [...]

    9. I read the first book, The Cat s Meow, two years ago so I had to go back and skim through it to refresh myself Gage, Dean, Marcus and Steele are all Assassins for a government group called The Agency In the first book Gage mates with Noah and after the first time they have sex it releases dormant cat shifter traits in Noah Much to their surprise, Noah is royalty and is the King of the cat shifters The assassins give up their positions at The Agency in order to help Gage protect Noah.Poppy has be [...]

    10. Originally posted at longandshortreviews boAuthor Stormy Glenn somehow made a house cat into the most feared creature around Yes, these kind, sweet shifters will have the fur flying and the claws out in a instance if you challenge their mates and whether Dean likes it or not he is Poppy s mate. With a captivating plot line and inspiring characters this story seems to end far too quickly Of all the characters in the story, Poppy stole my heart Dean found him a broken man having suffered years of a [...]

    11. Sometime you need serious, sometime you need playful Poppy s Pleasure is a pretty little story Poppy is a cuteness overloaded character who is completely unaware of the danger he is for other men not cause he is dangerous, but cause he can provoke an overdose of prettiness to the chosen companion And I m totally saying this with a positive perspective, it s not easy to write a character like this one without falling into ridiculousness, but Stormy Glenn managed it without any stumble maybe that [...]

    12. I really debated my rating on this one I liked Poppy and Dean I was concerned that Poppy was too innocent, making him almost child like, but the paranormal element allows the suspended belief that he could have been that isolated growing up, kept in a cage, etc that he would be that innocent Also, although Poppy s age is never given, I assumed it was probably 18 20 which helped me go with the story a little better I liked Poppy He didn t necessarily have child like thoughts he was just new to th [...]

    13. I liked Dean s character, especially his humor And I even liked all the kitty thing. But then it became ridiculous And for the record I hate Poppy s name Who names someone Poppy And of course they were like saying Poppy every two fucking seconds Urgh The first half of the book, Poppy is a fucking terrified mess and he s like a 6 year old boy seeing unicorns when he discovers something I can understand that because he was kept prisoner all his life But what I cannot understand is Dean having sex w [...]

    14. Rushed, clich d and anti climatic which is actually quite hard to achieve when one of your main characters is an assassin, which was also the only reason why I even picked this book up in the first place I am actually amazed how one can make an assassin look boring Seriously Anyway it was done and I was not particularly happy with this development Took quite the enjoyment out of this story for me and made it look all ordinary and crappy Ugh I did like the main plot behind the idiotic romance I h [...]

    15. I had to re read the first book before starting this I so hope I won t have to wait two years again for the next sequel.I always thought that Dean had a sick sense of humour and apparently he still has it It will be his downfall if he doesn t calm down le sigh XD Actually, I have to say that I never really liked Dean even in the first book, but So, view spoiler it seems that there s and cat shifters out there Geez, one was enough, Noah is the only true King hide spoiler And no, Dean, Poppy s n [...]

    16. I liked this book as much as I liked Cat s meow , but it felt so much different The first Assassin s Pride made me smile from page one It was entertaining, it was funny It was ha ha funny and made you feel happy good The second Assassin s Pride describes such tragic situations that although you will like it, it will make you sad good I don t know how to describe it in a different wayPoor Poppy, he is such a tortured boy He used to be a slave boy until Dean who was looking for his disappeared fri [...]

    17. I loved Dean s cat jokes I laughed so hard I would have liked of Poppy s background We got some, but I wanted to know how became a slave in the first place And for the love of all things to love could we find out what his former master s name is, please Poppy knows it, he said it himself so why is he still calling him his former master view spoiler at first I thought it was Trent, but then Marcus was kidnapped and saw him, so it couldn t be anyone they recognized hide spoiler Ummm there a 3rd c [...]

    18. Just as with The Cat s Meow I ended up buying Poppy s Pleasure again because the original book disappeared from my Kindle library Fucking Silver Publishing screwed everybody over Anyway, I adored Poppy in fact, he s my fave so far Y all should know by now how big of a sucker I am for an abused omega Loved seeing him find his happiness and gain his freedom, in ways than one Dean is absolutely lovable and perfect for Poppy. Now, I have to wonder how much longer until I get Marcus and Steele s stor [...]

    19. Utterly ridiculous.I can t get behind and believe characters when I don t feel I know them by the end of the book This book felt like nothing was there And while I love fluff occasionally, I like fluff that makes sense This didn t The first half of the book had one set of personalities, and then ALL OF THE SUDDEN, the second half of the book everyone shifted personalities FOR NO REASON Worse, the first half and the second half of the book occurred 3 days apart Ugh.

    20. Dean s story kind of started of just a bit rocky for me with the whole master slave routine of Poppy s going on Dean handles it fairly well minus a few blowups that Poppy just doesn t understand This story sets up the series to continue for as long as the author wishes btw looking forward to Marcus and Simon getting their own book but adding the mutant line came across as a bit over the top and over done as far as storylines go since its been done over and over already for storys

    21. Better than book 1 More like 3,5 stars Again the tough assassin seems too stupid, but he is really nice towards damaged Poppy which is the most ugly name I ve ever read Also it seems a little unfair that the shifter finds himself a mate with the first man he has sex with while his mate does not recognize immediately that the shifter is the love of his live So the books contain little logic Whatever It is a shifter book Logic does not have to apply.

    22. I loved the first book in this series, The Cat s Meow This book was very good, but it didn t seem to have the lighthearted attitude of the first book That s not to say that it didn t have some great moments, because it most certainly did.Poppy was fun, sweet, na ve and charming Dean was grumpy, sarcastic, and kind of an ass Together they made a perfect couple. Please see Mr P s complete review on January 25, 2013 at mrsconditreadsbooks index.

    23. It was okay, it wasn t as good the first one, probably because the setting of the novel wasn t as fresh and original as it was in the first novel It wasn t basly written though, it was just as well written as the first one and the characters were unique and distinct All in all so so written, okay characters, mediocre plot2.3 stars

    24. This story was enjoyable and full of humor I really liked Poppy He was naive, innocent and so sweet I m glad he got his HEA with Dean Dean is supposed to be cold, hard, and without remorse , but he was sarcastic, funny and serious I liked him Anyway this was a second part in Assassin s Pride and so far it was an enjoyable read.

    25. I really enjoyed the second book in the Assassin s Pride series Dean is a sweet, caring and funny character He s a smartass but it does it out of love Poppy is very endearing I wish we knew about his background though The author doesn t go into any real detail about his upbringing This book does leave you itching for though.

    26. I love poppy and dean I wish this series would go on with books, would love to read one about Marcus and Simon Then one about Steele and the cat man Oh well, we don t always get what we want

    27. I loved it Loved the storyline and definately the characters, Dean and Poppy s relationship was really really sweet Oh my word did this book pull at my heart strings I can t even explain the emotions that came over me, it was so sad It s a well written story and I definately recommend it

    28. I really think this was better than the first book Poppy was unbelievably cute My only complaint is the time between books Two years is way too long I don t appreciate being forced to read a book again to remember so I can read a series.
