    About "Adina West"

    1. Adina West

Adina West grew up on a remote property on Australia s east coast, in country New South Wales She spent most of her childhood curled up with a book, and her first teenage job was shelving books at the local library, where she was cautioned than once for reading them instead of putting them away. Her first stories were laboriously typed up with two fingers on her parents old typewriter Her dream of one day being a published writer progressed much faster after she learned to touch type and switched to a computer. Now, Adina lives in Sydney s leafy north west with her IT guru husband, two children, and a couple of unwelcome possums who really don t know how to take a hint Her Dark Child paranormal fantasy series, is available from all good e book retailers It s an eclectic mix of ancient cultures, modern cities, tarot, witchcraft, suspense and romance, and she loves that writing it made watching Vampire Diaries necessary research.

    1. Another great episode from the Dark Child saga which draws the readers into the experiences of Kat as she finds out about her heritage and the expectations of those around her A fantastic tale which helps reinvent paranormal talents, creatures and magical entities in the current reality, travelling between America and Europe I really enjoyed reading this novella but, as usual, it leaves me wanting to know what happens next Kat s grandma wants her to meet other members of her family and this epi [...]

    2. The Dark Child world Adina West creates is fabulous The characters are human even if they re not, technically They have complicated histories and relationships, but the writing makes it all flow effortlessly for the reader There is an unexpected twist in Episode 5 that I loved In fact, if I could have asked for anything from the story, it was this twist The twist and a couple of other scenes tie back effectively to Episode 1 I like the sense of closure that sort of matching book ends structure g [...]

    7. Source I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read to review basis Thanks to Adina West, Pan Macmillan Australia, and Never too old for YA books This is part 5 of the dark child serial, and picks up where episode 4 left off.Kat s life now hangs in the balance, and finally we may get the answers that we have been waiting for.I ve stuck with this serial, even having grave doubts about it, because I wanted to know how the story ended Unfortunately I felt like I was forcing myself to g [...]

    9. This part lets the series down a little It s not that it isn t good there are some interesting plot developments, and some of the unanswered mysteries are moved closer towards a solution with enough kept open for book 2, obviously but to me it didn t feel like the final few chapters of a book It felt at the end like in a few weeks I would get the next instalment There wasn t really a satisfying conclusion It just sort of ended Now, I m all for leaving enough open for a sequel, but there s a fine [...]

    10. Another great episode but I want there is still so much to be told only the hint of what Kat is at the end had me saying are you serious how can you end the series like this Adina West is the sneakiest author I have come across We have been left wondering what will happen between Alek, Rok and Kat still Rok has a story to tell all his own I m sure, as he is still such a mystery Amber is another one who will have her own story after being kidnaped for such along time before Kat came along to hel [...]

    11. It was going well in this episode but then it seemed like it just ended Sure, some problems were solved however questions were raised which were then, left open and annoyingly unanswered because of the sudden ending I just kept getting frustrated with the way things were progressing, then it just ended It wasn t even a proper finish I sure hope there s a sequel, I don t want think that was the ending.

    12. I really enjoyed the whole series but this final episode made it feel incomplete Maybe it s just me but I still have a lot if questions that need to be answered like if she will be with Alek or about what is going to happen next I don t n is it just didn t feel like an ending More like a possibility for another beginning.

    13. I read this as a part of the omnibus book I am so glad I did I would of hated to sit there and wait for the next one I hardly wanted to put it down.
