    1. Though I m not in the mood to use this book and its exercises, I did like the focus on playing with the medium rather than trying to control it a method that is unusual with watercolor and sounds very liberating.

    2. A really fun way to explore ways to play with watercolors The book has some great exercises, and examples of how various artists capture the same subject.

    3. This is not a straight instructional book for people learning watercolor Instead, think of it as a source of ideas and inspiration for how to play with different techniques and ways of seeing I didn t treat it like a class and I didn t read or follow it sequentially Instead, I flipped through, read it out of order, and did the exercises that interested me, when I felt like doing them I ll return to it next time I want to paint but need some motivation or direction to get started.

    4. The ideas are cool and the artwork is lovely but there isn t enough instructional info I will explore to find work from the contributing artists but I don t think there was enough to this book.
