    1. Rating 3.5 of fiveThe Publisher Says I m not straight is how Bridger Jenkins came out That s all he s comfortable claiming at first, even if he s than willing to experiment sexually with men to find out what being not straight means in practice Several horrid dates leave him feeling frustrated, so he retreats to a familiar online gay forum for support There, he runs across Stone Moore, whose profile says he s only interested in friendship After hours of easy conversation, Stone agrees to go on [...]

    2. This is a very sweet story about two men who meet online, become friends, and eventually fall in love I liked the take on online dating and the cute ending, but I wish there had been less telling and showing Also, Stone was not a very likable MC I felt like Bridger did all the work and giving in that relationship Bonus for creative use of toys Just the visual of the dildos with the suction cups made my mouth dry 2.5

    3. Breathtakingly gorgeous little novella A labor of love by this wonderful author for the M M Romance group s Love s Landscapes Event Go Read it Rejoice.

    4. The story in theory is about avoiding labels, relationships being about than sex and making compromises to give love a chance All good and worth morals.Unfortunately it doesn t work for me Stone is too distant a love interest, spending most of the book playing avoidance games and not talking, even at the point of their moving in together The writing style is tell rather than show so there is nothing to suggest he s worth the effort, he has less personality than his name sake.Bridger despite not [...]

    5. This book didn t work for me There was too much telling rather than showing I felt like someone was telling me about a book instead of experiencing it myself I also didn t sense any chemistry between the MCs Those who ve read my review of Trouble the Wallflower know my thoughts on the dilemma these two guys found themselves facing.

    6. Acquaintances didn t call us Barbie and Ken simply because we were best friends We were both pegged as superficial lackwits because of our blonde hair and blue eyes Few took the time to bother getting to know us It was easier to stick us in boxes and pretend we were shallow and unworthy of intelligent thought or interesting conversation We were grateful to have each other to understand how it felt to be dismissed out of hand because of a first impression based on an ignorant stereotype.Srsly OK, [...]

    7. Perfect fit Is it truly possible We often focus entirely on clicking together in every possible way, we overlook those pieces that might be slightly off What happens when the piece that doesn t fit is an important one Really important Now the question becomes, can you still make it work Bridger is discovering himself What does he conclude He s not straight He can t say it He s not ready for the g word This is merely one of his apprehensions He wants to date not hook up He wants to take things sl [...]

    8. 4.5A full review will follow, but this story was absolutely amazing for me.First, it should be said that this story was written for me And I don t say that in any narcisitic way, just because a story works perfectly for me no, this story was actually designed to fit my prompt for this year s Don t Read in the Closet short story event Me and my BF are both bottoms and I was surprised when I started to read this genre that there weren t any books where love overcame problems in the bed Mostly, cha [...]

    9. Meh I didn t love it I didn t hate it Mostly, it just didn t make me feel much of anything, really. The first half of the book started out with promise, but by the middle of the story, it all just sort of became one note for me.But the unbelievable thing for me was that after dating for 5 whole months , only then did they finally find out out that view spoiler they were both complete bottoms hide spoiler Sorry, you can be focusing on a plethora of other topics for a while, but at some point that [...]

    10. Nice guy seeks nice guy for love Two regular guys figuring out a relationship So glad this avoided the miscommunication device when it so blatantly set it up One of the characters is clearly better at expressing himself than the other and since the story is told from Bridger s viewpoint it keeps us in the dark even I would have liked hints from Stone through action if not dialogue to cue in some missing emotion Every interaction between the two was reactionary on Stone s part, it felt one sided [...]

    11. This was OK I didn t understand why Bridger was so stuck on Stone when Stone was acting like a dick Plus the issue that stood between them was not small In the end I didn t buy the resolution and I felt like they would be better as best friends.

    12. Thank you Posy Roberts for this free story and thanks to all the other authors who participated in this event.Wow, wow, wow I will honestly state that this may not have been my kind of story but it was absolutely beautiful and very moving A very real story about love conquering all Love being everything Wow.

    13. 2,5 stars, not enough to rounded up it seemed. This is my reasons,I think I m being generous gave this story 2,5 Because the cover is very nice and the ending is just what we ve all expected to be.That s it.I can t connect with the two MC Bridger is having a very serious low self esteem, and self confidence issues He let himself being a doormat for Stone. And this Stone guy, he s a douche After one date, he left, and tried to built a relationship with his ex, and when it didn t work as he wanted, [...]

    14. I found this story quite sweet and gentle It was the story of Bridger coming to terms with the fact that he was not straight After building an online friendship with Stone and one date, things don t quite work out as Bridger had hoped When they eventually do reunite, the story took an unexpected path when it focused on building a relationship when sexual desires don t quite mesh.

    15. I m not quite sure what to say about the plot, about the problem But I loved Posy Roberts writing as much as I loved it in Tangled Mind.

    16. Acquaintances didn t call us Barbie and Ken for simply because we were best friends We were both pegged as superficial lackwits because of our blonde hair and blue eyes Few took the time to bother getting to know us It was easier to stick us in boxes and pretend we were shallow and unworthy of intelligent thought or interesting conversation We were grateful to have each other to understand how it felt to be dismissed out of hand because of a first impression based on an ignorant stereotype This [...]

    17. See Meep for an in deph review. There was a lot of ruminations and deep thinking on this story, a lot of telling to make sense of what the reader was supposed to understand or buy BUT I couldn t buy the connection between this couple I felt that Bridger from the beginning was the one that fought for this relationship while Stone gave up too easily We are also supposed to believe that these young men were satisfied with their conversations, their walks in the park, watching movies and going out wi [...]

    18. This was a very cute and sweet story In many ways it reminded me of Kade Boehme s Trouble the Wallflower view spoiler especially in the revelation that both characters prefer the bottom role in sex hide spoiler but while both showed constructive ways to get around this obstacle, I felt that Boehme dealt with the issue better Still, Roberts came up with some sexy resolutions and a heartfelt talk that brought these two closer together, view spoiler although I would have preferred that second round [...]

    19. A lovely, sweet and emotional story with a unique plot line that resolves well Endearing MC who makes you long for his HEAwhich he getseventually.

    20. I loved how realistic this was Loved the characters and wiring and how it spanned many months with the two of them Lovely story, I really enjoyed this one Thank you

    21. Stone didn t seem to care about Bridges I just didn t like him at all It felt like Bridges was chasing him around when he was clearly not interested.

    22. This was a refreshing and unique story that gives you a glimpse of the building of a relationship from the beginning to the HEA I especially loved Bridger who was compassionate, self aware and refused to compromise on what he wanted The characters were very well developed and the story was a slow burning, sweet journey It s such a rare treat to be able to read a story that spans a length of time here we gets glimpses over the part of 19 months where the characters are open, honest, communicative [...]

    23. This story was lovely Easy to read and full of emotion It was an emotional subject to cover, but handled so well it didn t feel full of angst despite the fact that I actually felt quite desperate when the two characters spent some time apart to think things over Despite knowing the prompt had asked for a happy ending the writer still made me worry for a little while.I like that this was about the deep connection between two people and not just about the sex It was about their finding a way to be [...]

    24. The tag almost perfect for each other describes this wonderful story really well It s a story about learning to communicate and compromise and realising love is very much worth fighting for.Bridger grew during the story and ends up at the end feeling comfortable and confident in himself Bridger annoyed me in the beginning because he kept talking about the types of guys he had been getting attention from, so I couldn t believe it took him that long to actually review his profile and change it Fo [...]

    25. Online dating is a risky business, since you never know who really is on the other end of the online conversation, but for Bridger and Stone that is only the beginning of their issues They may get along really well in theory which is than what happened to Bridger with his other attempts , but when they meet up and get into the details, they discover that, while they like each other, they are not compatible in the bedroom The rest of the story deals with them figuring out if they can deals with [...]

    26. Bridger is new to the concept of dating men In fact, he s really only comfortable labeling himself as not straight and nothing His path of exploration leads him online where he meets Stone, who seems interesting, and convinces him to go on a date While Bridger enjoys himself and feels a connection, Stone doesn t seem to feel the same way, telling Bridger the time isn t right, leaving Bridger feeling a bit blown off and suspecting it has to do with his inexperience While Bridger sets out to find [...]

    27. A relationship that s not built on sex What a refreshing concept Although Stone and Bridger what soap opera names , discover they re both bottoms, it causes a bit of angst but it doesn t end the relationship They figure out pretty quickly what s really important to them A lot of the relationship part other than the sexual problem is summarized everyone agrees they re perfect for each other, we re told , but we don t really get to witness them as a couple. My problem with the book was that I didn [...]

    28. This book was really different, I mean what happens when two men who both prefer to bottom fall in love Bridges meets Stone on a dating site, he s just realized that he might be gay, or at least bi He and Stone hit it off instantly and spend lots of time talking online and texting When they finally go on a date, they kiss and Bridges knows the onlly person he wants is Stone Then Stone backs off, they dont talk much for months The eventually talk and things soon heat up between them These two wer [...]
