    1. 2.5 starsI received this book for free in exchange for an honest review This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my reviewMargaret and Cain have known each other for years, with Cain silently and at times not so silently loving Margaret from the sidelines When Margaret s sister is taken by the Lord of Lisford, who just so happens to be Margaret s ex fianc e and the man who left her at the altar, she immediately goes to the one man she trusts to help her Cain knows it is not [...]

    2. It was an okay read The h pushes the H for half of the book Then, after all the begging, she finally gives in I wasn t too excited about that By any means, it s not a must read but if you re in the mood for a historical, you can give this a try.

    3. Unlaced By The Outlaw is the fourth book in her latest series Secrets in Silk Now I have read this author before, one of her viking romances, and loved it So when I was asked to read and give a honest review for this one, I could barely contain my excitement, and I will be honeste title really drew me Many older romance novels that I fell in love with had similar play on words of this title, and so I was curious to see what it was liked I found I just had so much fun with this story and really h [...]

    4. received for free through First ReadsI wanted to like this book than I did The blurb on the back sounded really promising and I enjoy Highland romances, but with this one I found my attention wandering and did not connect with the characters The writing was smooth and there was some solid action, but I had trouble becoming involved.

    5. I just listened to this series available from Audible, and every tale is wonderful, needing hankies, stirring the lusty Romantic soul Every sister heroine and their hero swains go on different paths to the HEA, but are connected by sisterly love and familial support It had been a few years since I d read the series and I had forgotten details that came alive again in such heartwarming detail, and heart wrenching struggles SPOILER The villain and his puppet of a sister, and his venal lackeys, and [...]

    6. This story blew my mind considering it was my favorite in the series and up until this book Margaret was my least favorite sister Utterly too prim and proper she was the very definition of propriety and boredom and yet in this tale she somewhat let her freak flag fly and I was smiling the whole time cheering her on.Cain Sinclairwell I thought Paul Fraser was the hot Scot in this series but I sure was wrong.

    7. Three stars I did not think this story was as good as the others in the series I did not like Margaret s character at all, she was selfish and flighty However, I did like cain s character, he was noble and heroic at every turn Also, like the other books, I liked how the family interacted with one another.

    8. Great series Now that I ve read all four books, my critique on the story overall is, while predictable in outcome, it is fairly enjoyable I would recommend this series to anyone interested in a quick, but endearing story.

    9. AmazingThe way hero has a soft side despite a rough exterior And the way heroine has a transformation from the stickler of propriety to a horny minx not afraid of showing her feelings towards hero was nice too.

    10. Very good bookI loved that the man of her dreams was not a blue blooded snob The characters were brave, strong you rooted for them through the whole story What a twist for the ending Loved that

    11. Good SeriesI enjoyed the series immensely The characters were described well and you found yourself wanting to know about their situations Always a good sign.

    12. Enjoyable This story was a little different than most I really enjoyed how much honor Cain had And never took advantage of Margaret She SEDUCED him.

    13. Excellent SeriesThe Secrets in Silk is a most enjoyable series taking each sister with her own intriguing tale.Only wish there were

    14. So I finished this a week ago and now I m having trouble recalling specifics It s not bad, but it s also not memorable It ties up the series well, and I liked the way Margaret s story ends how her life turns out.

    15. A lady and an outlaw When straitlaced spinster Margaret Andrews tries to stop her headstrong younger sister Amelia from eloping with the wrong man, the last thing she expects is to be caught in a coach accident Stranded in Scotland with a dangerously handsome Highlander, she must put aside her genteel sensibilities and learn to survive.Cain Sinclair rescues the prim and proper Margaret, but he knows she ll never want a man like him As a self proclaimed sinner, he lives his life from one day to t [...]

    16. This is the story of Cain and Margaret Cain is a poor highlander and Margaret is English and the daughter of a Earl When Margaret is young and moves to Scotland with her family, she meets Cain and he is smitten with her Their friendship grows and Cain helps Margaret and her sister s business by delivering lingerie they designed to London for them When Amelia, Margaret s sister, is abducted by a unwanted suitor, Margaret turns to Cain for help in tracking them down.Things I liked The authors writ [...]

    17. There were three plotlines weaving throughout this book one for the main couple, Margaret and Cain, one for Margaret s parents, and one for Cain s brother Jonah During my initial read through, I was a little confused and frustrated about why so much time was spent with these secondary characters Get back to Margaret and Cain, I thought But by the end, Ms Willingham did a good job of weaving the three lines together in such a way that it did not seem forced Instead, information and events from on [...]

    18. The title of this book is ridiculous and hugely misleading There is no Outlaw in this book There is much substance to this story than the marketing offers. This is the fourth book in a series, and I did feel that I was missing out by not reading the earlier books I definitely understood what was going on, but I know for certain my reading experience would have been better if I d read the other books and in order.I loved many aspects of the relationship in this story The characters already knew e [...]

    19. I received this book as an e ARC free from Netgalley Below is my review.I ve heard great things about Willingham so when I saw this available on Netgalley, I jumped at the chance to try her out Let s just say I was underwhelmed and most of that was my fault.First, this is book 4 in a series and you definitely need to read these books in order A lot of the characters and situations are follow ons to what has already happened, only I didn t know that so I didn t understand a lot of what was going [...]

    20. With most historical romances series, I rarely feel like I ve missed something when I jump in with a later installment Here, I have to say that starting out with the fourth book in the Secrets in Silk series, there was no doubt I was coming into a story in progress Even though each book has its own HEA, there was obviously a lot of history in play, both in the romance and the larger story arc.Though I obviously don t like feeling lost, I think I m safe in saying that my lack of history with the [...]

    21. Originally reviewed for Buried Under Romance buriedunderromance Unlaced by the Outlaw, the fourth book in the Secrets in Silk series by Michelle Willingham, is a quick read that, in spite of being fairly predictable, delivers an interesting mystery and a steamy romance During a society ball, Margaret Andrews sees her younger sister leave with someone totally unsuitable Since she believes they are eloping, she enlists the aid of Highlander Cain Sinclair, with whom she once shared a memorable kiss [...]

    22. Romantic and enjoyable, Unlaced by the Outlaw was a definite win From the truly engaging characters to the sweet romance, this book was a delight and I really liked it.Margaret was definitely an interesting character who went through a lot of changes over the course of the book In the beginning, she was somewhat snobbish, seeing titles and wealth as a greater indicator of a man s worth than his character But, even then, she retained a core of strength that even she didn t realize she had And, as [...]

    23. This is a fun romp on the fringe of well off society in England and Scotland A young lady has been abducted by an older man who wishes to take her to Gretna Green and marry her, having compromised her name The girl s older sister, still unwed after five seasons, might be thought to be envious when she chases off in pursuit, but we re assured that she s only thinking of the girl s happiness She goes to a tavern and finds a Scotsman she knows who, being acquainted with the roads north, might help [...]

    24. I really, really liked this story This is an absolute winner from Michelle Willingham Margaret believes her sister, Amelia, has been forced into running away with a despicable lord The same despicable lord who backed out of wedding Margaret days before their wedding a couple of years ago Margaret feels guilty for not protecting chaperoning her sister well enough and is determined to leave London and find her Margaret knows that Cain Sinclair, a man she has known for a decade, will do almost anyt [...]

    25. I m not really finished and it s not bad , and I m sure I will get back to it, but I feel burnt out on the tradition regency storylines Think I need a break.

    26. This is the fourth and final book in the Secrets in Silk Series While it s predominantly the story of Margaret Andrews, the 25 year old unmarried second Andrews sister, it pulls in a lot of details from the other three books It ties some loose ends, and even gives us a pleasant surprise in the epilogue.Margaret is the straight laced daughter as in unlaced , the good daughter, who always obeyed all the rules, sought to please her parents, and complied with British societal s She gets caught up in [...]

    27. I received this book free from the Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.I have never read this author before so I found this book a little confusing at first There are three plots that are highlighted in this story The main couple is Margaret and Cain Then Margaret s parents and Cain s brother have their own plots There were also a lot of flashbacks that gave important information about Margaret s character but made it difficult at times to keep up with the plot.I loved [...]

    28. I ve been waiting for Cain and Margaret s story since their first appearance in UNDONE BY THE DUKE the first book in this series I haven t been disappointed Once again Michelle Willingham has brilliantly written a page turning adventure of love and daring A hero worthy of the name and a heroine who discovers, in herself, a backbone of steel which she needs to fight for the man she loves. This is the fourth book in the Secrets in Silk series, the others being UNDONE BY THE DUKE, UNRAVELED BY THE R [...]

    29. These are not your soft core bodice rippers, with mannered ladies and gentlemen, tea in the parlor and innuendo on the veranda You will find real sex, real passion, and real hot underwear in these novels Sober Margaret is the last of the four Andrews sisters to become enmeshed in the rewards and risks of the trade in silken secrets Jilted in her engagement to the same Viscount who later kidnapped her young sister Amelia, Margaret finds herself on the shelf in this society that disregards older w [...]

    30. This is one of my favorite series Michelle has a way of developing the best plots that make you hate to put the book down This goes for the people too These people take some time to figure what they want and they won t back down Cain and Margaret my favorite name have been an item for years but she has just realized it She is prim, proper and wants to marry a Duke He is poor, no title and would die to protect her Her sister Amelia is in trouble and she races to Cain to help save her Uh oh No cha [...]
