    1. Byronic is a really interesting read, I loved the history and getting really into the Lowcountry culture There are a lot of contrasts in this book, from Chelsea s mixed race heritage to Geoffrey s British upbringing, and both being uprooted from their birth places to this posh town in South Carolina I love the spooky boo hags, and the whole air of mystery and the supernatural I think this would make an excellent movie Sort of a Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil meets Beautiful Creatures, w [...]

    2. I just have to say that I was and still am very excited about this book and the rest of the Prometheus Order series I waited to read this book until after its release and it did not disappoint Unique, fascinating, and just the right amount of creepy, Ms Jones wrote a story that has all the elements of YA without the gratuitous clich s of the genre There is so much awesome, I will consolidate my points to well bullet points. The Plot This story is told from the POV Point of View of Chelsea Rodgers [...]

    3. Review copy Digital ARC from publisherIf you re a fan of gothic style novels you know, the ones with big mansions, suspicious deaths, a love interest that might be just as sinister evil as he is sexy, and lots of disturbing things everywhere Byronic is the summer book for you, especially if you re looking for biracial heroines to add to your bookshelf Sandi Beth Jones modernized some of my favorite gothic tropes, set them in South Carolina, and explored Gullah folklore, which I wasn t familiar [...]

    4. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review I WANT MORE The end of this book defiantly made me anxious for the next one I can t wait This book is amazing The story is so well developed and unpredictable it left me sitting on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next. The MC, Chelsea, is a very interesting character She s always been kind of a loner which I can relate to , and her family is not exactly on the normal side of things She s an artist, and I found i [...]

    5. Thank you to YA Book Bound for sending me a copy for review I will admit, I didn t start this story with incredibly high hopes I thought it was going to be an okay read, but I turned out to enjoy it a lot than I thought I would I do believe it is hard to make books creepy There are a few books that do it for me like Dying for a Living by Kory M Shrum and some others, but it is something hard to bring across in a book But this book, this introduced me to haints and boo hags ghosts and ghouls I h [...]

    6. Byronic is actually a pretty interesting with it s kind of dark and mysterious theme I forgot that this genre had a supernatural theme to it because the beginning was pretty normal but then the story starts to really pick up with the weird things going on around The mysteries that Chelsea s experiencing and of course there s the mysterious Geoff The relationship between Chelsea and Geoff was kind of complex and don t get me started with their parents relationship Chelsea like her father is into [...]

    7. When I read the summary of the book, I somehow missed the Boo Hags and haints and terrifying creatures line, focusing only on the connection to Lord Byron So when the book started to take a turn for the creepy, I practically shrieked and shivered I turned on all the lights and made sure my husband was in the room every time I cracked open the book.Definitely a winner to read this Halloween time of year.I absolutely loved the setting from the very first line We re shown the Lowcountry of South Ca [...]

    8. Byronic is dark, addictive, and not easily put down I thoroughly enjoyed the reading experience and could not turn the pages fast enough The novel combines a contemporary world with myth and lore and I couldn t get enough of it.The characters of Byronic are unique and well developed Chelsea is a great protagonist and an interesting voice She s strong, but not stereotypical, and has a great personality She always stayed true to her character, although I did feel that she reacted a bit simply to d [...]

    9. Chelsea s mother is a writer and now they have moved to the south in LowCountry Carolina as her mother has been asked to write the memoirs of a reclusive author Ben Randall This means of course that Chelsea has been dragged along and has to start a new school where she doesn t know anyone When I saw this book , I knew I had to read it as I am in love with the whole Byronic Hero Complex the complex that made us characters like Edward Rochester, Mr Darcy, Heathcliff , Edward Cullen and of course t [...]

    10. I ve been fortunate to be able to read this book before its public release It s definitely one you ll want to put on your bookshelves Lord Byron has long been one of my favorites the most intriguing of the Romantics Ms Jones has done an amazing job of combining the elements of a Byronic hero into a contemporary, paranormal theme Her writing is superb it flows swiftly and pulls the reader into the haunting plot, which is as chilling and murky as the backwater of the Low Country setting Creepy, fu [...]

    11. Alright, so I borrowed this book from a friend and she told me I needed to give an honest review The story itself was a good idea A girl who can draw the past and see things that people can t really see I m a graphic designer and a long time artist so this spoke to me in a way some books don t just because I love reading about other artists So needless to say, I liked the concept The characters were simply developed, which can be good and bad People like making an image in their mind about the c [...]

    12. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review from YA Bound Book Tours This book is about Chelsea who moves with her mother to her mom s new employer s home Her mom is a writer, and will be working on a memoir for Ben, a famous mystery author Chelsea is reluctant to live in the plantation home in the south, due to her mixed heritage She also does not want to have to live with Ben s son Geoff who almost killed her and her mother upon arrival in an almost car crash She also learns [...]

    13. Byronic is like nothing i v read before So that was good The story was new I had hard time towards the end with it dragging little The characters were really well developed Very paranormal I felt that I was missing a little in some places I did love how the author used quotes from old and famous writers to begin ever chapter and tied it into the book Not exactly my taste However I liked it was new and a story was worth finishing.
