    1. Review copy provided by Netgalley and the publisher This did not affect my review of the book whatsoever.I love Supernatural the tv series I liked how the deal with supernatural beings like werewolves, vampires, ghosts, demons, angels and all that So when I saw this on netgalley, it immediately caught my attention A family that fights off evil supernatural stuff Let me get my hands on that stuff I DID AND I LOVED IT WHAT I LIKED the very eerie illustrations sample for this is below witty and som [...]

    2. A fantastic blend of darkness and humor, mostly darkness I love the story, love the characters, love the art I m still debating five stars I may come back to this one Highly recommended.I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

    4. This was an interesting supernatural horror graphic novel following former monster hunter Frederick Allan, his family, and various macabre acquaintances that reminded me, at times, of The Addams Family, Hellboy, Locke Key, and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Of note is that this didn t remind me, neither in tone nor its art, of Mystery Society, a previous supernatural graphic novel by Steve Niles which shows Niles has than one trick up his sleeve.I m really curious to see where this is he [...]

    5. The October Faction is the latest offering from Steve Niles, the creative mind behind 30 Days of Night, the graphic novel that brought the bloodthirsty horror vampire back to us With dark and shadowy artwork and characters that are just this side of the Addams Family, The October Faction is sure to grab a strong and ardent following.Frederick Allan is retired from his original vocation and now spends his time as a professor, his days much less exciting than they once was He lives with his wife a [...]

    6. The October Faction 1 5 Stars, Buy it Self Purchase, Comixology, First Impression Loving the art I m not normally into creepy and horror but this is very attention grabbing I probably said the same thing about locke and key but I sorta gave up on that one because it was too confusing This one seems less confusing so far In anycase, this was absolutely awesome I love the two older teens who are the creepy kids and appear to be summoning spirits The creepy parents whose relationship is on the frit [...]

    7. If you like dark and gloomy atmosphere, the Addams Family and monsters, you ll be thrilled with this comic strip First of all, the drawings are fantastic They immediatly immerse you in the story and take part in creating this whimsical story. The characters are unusual and the father is retired monster hunter, the mother is kick ass and I don t even talk about the creepy but awesome children. The story is entertaining The suspense is well sustained all the way It never gets boring and I can t wait [...]

    8. I m always on the lookout for creepy graphic novels, and this was just the ticket I love the art the dark colors and spiky angles remind me of Niles s other series, 30 Days of Night. This volume is s good start to a new series, and I m eager to see what happens next with this gothy family of monster hunters.

    9. I received a digital copy of this title from the publisher via Netgalley.Ten Second Synopsis A family with an ancestral job of monster hunting comes under attack from some seriously supernatural forces In order to survive though, they ll also have to deal with backstabbing, betrayal and secrets that are all too human. The coolest thing about this book is that Along with the blood splatting, monster killing, robot deflecting, zombie evading action story, you will also get quite a delightful and ch [...]

    10. This is the kind of graphic novel that I love The colors sway toward the darker side of the spectrum which matches the storyline It was reminiscent of a Neil Gaiman type of work The story is about a family, a rather odd one but a family all the same The adult children want to be I am assuming monster hunters like their father once was They dabble with little bits of what they can do but are really looking for his acceptance Then their mother is attacked by something and things change for everyon [...]

    12. FGMAMTC Blog ReviewMy review is for the 152 page paperback coming out August 11, 2015 For some reason even when I find the correct one, October Faction keeps switching me to a different single issue comic.I loved the storyline and the art style It s full of creepiness and dark comedy and the perfect hodgepodge of paranormal and supernatural There s action, whit and mystery I m not going to even pretend to know which direction the next book will go I m most curious about the Mama character and t [...]

    13. I LOVED the artwork in this GN, the attention to detail, the style and darkness of it gave it a historical Addams Family feel that was creepy yet comfortable Frederick Allan used to fight monsters, he is now retired and instead teaches, in this novel we follow him his wife Delores and their two children They are a really strange group, I ve alluded to the Addams Family in the look and this family almost have that feel, that disconnect whilst being connected All complete individuals making a who [...]

    14. I recieved this in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley I really liked this one To me, it was like a mix between the Winchester brothers Supernatural and Locke and Key by Joe Hill This is a family of hunters Not just any hunters though, hunters of monsters The patriarch of the unit has been trying to lay low, and hasn t wanted to get his children involved in the family business Circumstances arise, however, and he is forced to bring them up to speed Vivian, his daughter, has the ability t [...]

    15. Such an interesting premise for a story The art, though sloppy and edgy at times, seemed perfect for this kind of story and I absolutely loved the dark colouring It contributed to the overall atmosphere of the graphic novel greatly Even though I loved the premise of the story and I do think it s really promising, there were some parts in the plot that seemed strange, rushed or not very much thought about Since this book is the first volume, and therefore an introduction to the story, I hope it g [...]

    16. Action, scary stuff and creepy family, you get it all and than you want in this one It was fun reading it and I may even pick up the next volume and see where this story goes This is a family that their business is not what you may expect it to be, their hunt monsters The first volume is an introduction, so not much happens, which I think that s the reason I want to pick up the next volume and read it.Thank You NetGalley for this graphic Novel.

    17. 3.25 3.5 StarsA dark contemporary graphic novel that s a little bit Addams Family and a little bit Van Helsing The illustrations are unique, PG rated, and fit the storyline well think the color scheme of Schindler s List , although there is a least one adult situation discussed FYI, if you are getting this for a child There s plenty of sarcastic humor included too The book didn t wow me, but I would give the next one a shot Net Galley Feedback

    18. So cool The artwork was appropriately dark, graphic and gruesome The story had lots of little twists and turns I kept saying, I did not expect that Looking forward to reading the next volume

    20. The October Faction introduces us to a retired monster hunter and his family Think of a modern Addams Family that s much mature The muddy artwork felt off putting at first, but really helps enhance the atmosphere behind the story.

    21. Dark, gripping, supernatural, horror themed and crazy funny.Check out my full review on my blog charliebookfanatic

    22. Read this on my kindle I liked how you clicked on the image it enlarged it so you could read it easily The artwork was awesome The story was disappointing and it was extremely short.

    23. Read the first issue on comixology and immediately enjoyed the art style and the story so far I m going to move onto trade going forward Its definitely a keeper.
