    1. oooh, choice awards semifinalist for best graphic novel what will happen a review for erica, who neeeeeds it so, volume two of this series is even convoluted and frantic than the first but i m confident now that it knows where it s going, and i just need to be patient and grab on and eventually it will take me where i want to go if you are the kind of person who prefers to go into a series completely blind, you might wanna go make a macrame owl or something instead of reading this review, beca [...]

    2. The second volume opens up with the girls finding themselves launched from 1988 to a distant and terrifying future June, 2016.However, they quickly notice that their friend KJ is missing and set out to find her with the help of future Erin Tieng.Along the way they encounter some difficulties that make them question who they can trust in the present or future Side note the Paper Girls issues are almost impossible to put down I kept thinking, after this issue, I m going to get up, after this issue [...]

    3. So I mentioned in my review of the original Paper Girls that I had actually read this one first, which might explain why I enjoyed volume one so much, while a lot of my friends were so bewildered that they were on the fence about it I also think it says something for this volume that I was able to read and enjoy it without being so confused that I couldn t understand it, and liking it so much that it probably made me enthusiastic than I would have been about the first one.So at the end of the l [...]

    4. Much less confusing and much entertaining than the first volume I m happy I didn t give up on this comic series after the first volume, which usually happens in my case, because there are so many comic series out there I can t bring myself to read ones I have trouble following But I trusted that by the time this second volume was published the creators had the time to read the concerns of readers and make the storyline comprehensible. And they did, if that s what happened Well I still don t kno [...]

    5. 4ish stars.Three or four questions answered from volume 1, approximately eleventeen added or left unanswered, give or take But I like it Art good Colors ooh pretty Girls cool.Posted in Mr Philip s Library

    6. 4.5 starsThis continues to be very strange but very enjoyable I find that when I read time travel books I get reeeeally disoriented because I hate how many loopholes arise and all the scientific timey wimey stuff just loses me really fast, but this managed to keep my interest most of the time, and I understanded most of it The art continues to be wonderful and I love Erin as a main character She has anxiety Yes There were still a lot of really cool references and I wanted to crey when they broug [...]

    7. What is Past is Epilogue When are we Well, I know even less what is going on than I did at the end of the first volume But sometimes when you are on a rollercoaster going over the crest of that hill you just put your hands in the air and go with it This is something like ET with badass girls and pterodactyls and iPhones and smart cars and esperanto It began in 1988 in Cleveland with four papergirls instead of paperboys , but we are now in 2016 And in one thread, somewhere much farther in the fut [...]

    8. PAPER GIRLS is still RADICAL, and yet amusing and funny than Saga, in my humble opinion And Saga is awesome But later on it gets pretty serious and the fun and jokes are in short supply It could be the spunky teenage girls schtick that helps Don t care Because it works So Volume 1 ended with the time traveling spaceship sending Mac and Tiff and Erin into the future and running into Future Erin KJ is missing And the Old Timers are in hot pursuit Buckle up, cuz it s gonna get weird. There s a good [...]

    9. It had been a little while since I read volume 1, but I was able to jump right into this volume no problem The second I started reading, I was able to jump right back into the story I loved the element of time travel in this volume I know it was introduced in the first volume, but it really went all Back To The Future in this one We saw multiple versions of one of the characters which was pretty awesome I still have a few questions, especially about the extreme future timeline and what the hell [...]

    10. I LOVED this so much I love all the characters and the plot really picks up in this one and yes it s still weird and creepy but that s what makes it unique Totally recommend

    11. Okay this was admittedly WAY BETTER than the first volume Everything was a little bit understandable Although there are still some questions that need to be answered I wish Tiff s future self had been shown though because I was curious about what happened to her future self as well That Apple shade that was thrown at the end though Tea anyone

    12. I m absolutely loving this series It s bizarre, all over the place, fast paced with constant twist and turns and a badass cast of characters Plus the artwork and colours are gorgeous I can t get enough of this strange story.

    13. 3.5 stars This set of issues was much better than the first bunch Things are still mysterious, and there s lots of action, the knights on pterosaurs are back with their bearded leader, and the girls are running around trying to figure out what the heck is going on with their town, while Erin Tieng and Erin Tieng are trying to deal with each other And there are tardigrades.

    14. WOW I am so glad I gave this comic series one chance to impress me because I loved this volume It was SO much better than Volume 1 and now I m really happy that I found another comic series that I really like I thought the first volume was really confusing and bland I gave it 2 stars but this comic has stepped its game up Volume 1 was all about setting the story up but in my opinion it didn t do a great job of reeling me in Volume 2 completely reeled me in It s exciting, mysterious and just pla [...]

    15. Nope I don t have time for this If you thought there were too many mysteries in the first volume you ll be even confused with this second installment and I just don t care to be honest When this series is finished and IF we get all the answers that I m not seeing anywhere right now I ll continue, but now I don t have the energy to read something that only adds confusion with every issue Nah, not worth my time. There are few moments here that I enjoyed and I feel like the writing is not as sharp [...]

    16. Paper girls goes all Back to the Future 2 as they wind up in 2016 They soon realize KJ is missing and that becomes the focus of this volume Erin meets up with her future self and is all Woah, what happened I m a loser Then a third Erin shows up in a space suit, but it s all good, because we find out her deal before the end of the book The Paper Girls also battle some giant maggots and figure out how to get to KJ.This book while bringing up some new questions is focused and easier to follow Vaug [...]

    17. There are much better graphic novel series s out there, but that doesn t mean that this one isn t worth reading There s something singularly special about this, and I can t quite put my finger on it.This is a sweet series about a group of young girls, sorta wrong end of the track young girls but still so young that this wrong side of the track is of a purposely put on face than an actually lived learned persona It s 1988 and they re Paper Girls, hence the title, and our heroine is the new girl [...]

    18. Consistently great Things are still weird and disorienting but that s the genius of the comic I m seriously DYING to learn .

    19. What a mess.I m in the minority here, because I thought this volume was even worse that the first one, and the first wasn t good to begin with.So the time fuckery continues, three girls out of four get straight outta the eighties and into 2016, Erin immediately and conveniently meets her future self, and another young clone Erin from another future appears, too There are also some giant tardigrades from the future fighting each other for no reason, an Apple product from you guessed it the future [...]

    20. Most of my thoughts on volume 2, are the same as volume 1 This one was slightly less entertaining, and bit confusing We get a lot of information but unfortunately this led to questions than answers This might end up being okay later on when we finally get answers but for right now it was kind of irritating The best part of this one is the promising complexity in the plot It s easy enough to follow but shows various levels of thought on behalf of the creators, and suggests different ways to inte [...]

    21. I wasn t the biggest fan of much of the first volume of the series, as it did not provide me with interesting enough characters that I am accustomed with Vaughan, as well as the use of certain words, but these six issues have given me a big desire to continue picking them out issue by issue. The series follows four paper girls who are suddenly thrust into the future, and at the same time must face aliens, the Apple logo, and the worry that they might not survive this, while learning about who the [...]

    22. Sometimes knowing what the future holds isn t always a good thing Paper Girls 2 is a real rollercoaster full of twists, turns, extra terrestrial mayhem and girl power This volume focuses on two Erin Tiengs the latest recruit to the Paper Girls team in volume 1 we follow her current self from 1988 and the future Erin from 2016 , as she, along with her friends, Tiffany and Mac, try to trace the steps of their friend KJ who was abducted by aliens in the first volume Each issue ends on a cliff hange [...]

    23. This was a lot exciting to me than the first volume We see a lot action and it keeps you in suspense I liked that we had multiple Erins to contend with and I think this volume did a good job at exploring the themes of growing up and facing your future fate Also, as always, the artwork and color palette was very fun I think I ll be picking up the third volume

    24. This got better than the first volume, surprisingly Probably because there was weird time travel The chapter epitaphs also made me roll my eyes, including only time is timeless and what is past is prologue I still don t care much about the squad here, but Erin is growing on me 40 year old Erin s comment about evil mirror verse version of herself definitely got a chuckle of me I might continue by picking up the third volume It just might take me a half of a year to actually read it.
