    About "Corina Bishop"

    1. Corina Bishop

Corina Bishop first used the arts as her creative outlet She dabbled in oil painting, charcoal figure drawling, clay sculptures and some amateur photography All the while scribbling on scrap pieces of paper excerpts of story s she made up in her head when she was bored or couldn t sleep She finished her first manuscript, titled Undying, in the fall of 2016 The prologue for this manuscript was first written during one of her college night classes She was trying not to fall asleep, as the teacher droned on, when the story started developing in her head She wrote the first two chapters and then did little to nothing with it Eventually she picked it back up and began to write whenever free time allowed Undying is the first book in what she hopes to be a three book saga.

    1. Her first thoughts were, where am I What happened Who am I She remembers smudged images of her life, but not why she is surrounded by strangers in lab coats who are far from healers, they are torturers and they just won t stop They slice, stab, poke and inject and the pain is unbearable Her mind screams why Why Why d still, they do not stop.Prepare to be chilled to the bone as Corina Bishop jettisons us into a dystopian future where humans are born as adults, genetically altered and treated like [...]

    2. This book had the potential to be brilliant The premise is chilling Imagine that you wake up in odd circumstances in a strange place Maybe you were in a coma but that doesn t seem right You re not sure who you are or where you are You quickly find yourself under the absolute control of others with undefined purposes but obviously with an agenda centered on you Then begins the testing the mental and physical torture beyond belief Why Why would these people treat you so inhumanely You come to unde [...]

    3. I m usually of a fantasy YA reader Undying falls firmly in the sci fi category which is generally hit and miss for me and as the book started I had my doubts that I would stick with it Because the book opens with Sentra waking, it doesn t start with a pop of action But I stuck through the first chapter which included important information you need as the reader and I was hooked. Those of you who follow my reviews know that I will speed through a book I love This was the case with Undying Corina [...]

    4. Holy cow The storyline of this book was so captivating I definitely had some Divergent feels going on here, but to compare it fully to that trilogy would be incredibly unfair I felt that this book was darker, much suspenseful, and honestly memorable Full disclosure I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review This did not affect my rating in any way First of all, I think the premise of this book is incredibly eerie and the plot was very well done I really enjoyed the s [...]

    5. Waking up not knowing where you are can be frightening, but waking up not knowing who you are is absolutely terrifying and this is exactly what happens to Sentra, the central character in this dramatic and futuristic tale The book is written in the first person, which can sometimes be a little off putting for me as a reader, but in this case works spectacularly well, as it really gives the author the ability to recreate the feelings of panic and confusion for the reader, which really draws you i [...]

    6. 3.5 Stars Full disclosure, I have been given this book to review by the author However, this does not change my opinions or feelings whatsoever Quick review I really enjoyed the story I think the characters and plot were well written and once we got over the info dump sections in the beginning you really get hooked into the story I did have a big issue with the amount of editing and grammatical errors and overlooks The beginning especially, but it does carry on throughout the entire book I think [...]

    7. I received this book on Audible from the author in exchange for a review This isn t my usual genre that I gravitate towards and perhaps that s why I m giving this a 3 out of 5 stars I say that because I had a hard time staying interested in the storyline, yet at the same time, the mystery of the unknown is exactly what kept me listening.Eventually I did come to like and empathise with the main character instead of being annoyed by her Full record on my blog to come soon.

    8. good world and character building Undying is a Sci Fi Drama by Corina Bishop Read by Laura JenningsLength 15 hrs and 58 minsHEA Not to me Cliffhanger I would be upset if this is where it ends This is not currently listed as a series, however, the ending leaves it set up to be such Some reviewers expressed their feelings to the ending as being able to count it as a good enough to be a standalone, but I am not one of those people. If you have a tender heart like me, you may want to skip this one St [...]
