    1. It s the one with the team from Last Chance The town that s your last chance before you get to the Rockies and die I remembered that so well The rest of the book, even the fabulous Madame Maria, was a little unmemorable though And just seemed like it wanted to be really serious, but didn t delve into the issue enough, and then wasn t even told from Darlene s pov Wasn t one of my favourites back then and isn t one I m head over heels about now.

    2. This was a bit disappointing, really Generally this series focusses on the sport and things like friendship and self esteem, but this particular book is a very heavy handed and inelegant Issues Book The focus is on racism, but it s told from Cindi s POV, not Darlene s, and the whole thing just feels forced and awkward and not very Gymnasts y.
