    1. Young does a great job explaining the linguistic reasons for many grammar analyses unique to Koine Greek I didn t use this book in school, but wanted a review of the basics after spending years just reading translating As someone who learned Classical Greek coming from Latinate models eg, emphasizing tense than aspect , this book really helped to separate my perception of Greek grammar from Latin It makes sense, is easy to follow, and gives practice exercises using New Testament texts.

    2. Really dense writing style, but I found it very helpful Will return to it for reference, especially as I exegete passages of the New Testament for sermon preparation and exegetical research papers The last chapter on structural analysis was the most helpful of the whole book.Personally, I prefer this to Wallace s Intermediate Grammar for a read through, though Wallace is much thorough as a reference Grammar.
