    1. This was fantastic, even better than the first book Redmann writes wonderfully, 400 pages flew by and I wish there was 400 Mickey is my favorite type of character, flawed but just wants to do the right thing Mickey makes you smile one minute, than breaks your heart the next This book is written in first person, so you really become connected to Mickey For those that don t care for first person POV, fear not Redmann write so well, that the secondary characters become so alive, that you almost be [...]

    2. I am a Mickey Knight fan What an engaging and not so perfect character you want to believe in and cheer for I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

    3. Note those with issues problems with reading depictions of rape rape like torture abuse etc should not read this book.Sex Something of the main theme of my review for the first book in this series I think I must have forgotten that this book here was a lot drenched in sex than the first Plus cheating This is a messed up group of friends in a lot of ways I think that two of the, I believe, six friends are borderline 99.9% sane, while the other four border on being oh, kind of messed up I might [...]

    4. Struggled with this one, at the end of the last book I was looking forward to a mystery with a firey chemistry and romance and was left disappointed From the beginning my anxiety levels rose too much and I couldn t bare to read any Skim a few pages and still no improvement There was nothing wrong with the story or the writing, it was gripping as I had to know how it ended I think on a personal level this was a hard read I was pleased with it how it ended but it took far far too long to get there [...]

    5. This second Micky Knight Mystery book is really, really good It is a tremendous follow up to book one with all the key folks still in the mix and providing than delightful interludes, expanded interactions, heartfelt friendship, and love of the best kind Speaking of love, I am totally enad with Micky and I positively adore her coterie of friends The exciting mystery and murders that come to light truly stand on their own, but with all the shenanigans also happening to Micky and her delightful p [...]

    6. Book Info Genre Detective Reading Level Adult Disclosure I received a free copy of book 7 in this series in exchange for an honest review I purchased the rest of the books in the series myself, so am under no particular obligation, but am happy to provide an honest review.Synopsis Micky Knight had a pleasant evening to look forward to she was running security at a swank party full of beautiful lesbians and gay men A dead body ruins the affair When dead women are found the police target Dr Corde [...]

    7. This is a sequel to Death By the Riverside New Orleans PI Micky Knight returns and this time she s caught between the personal and professional when hired by Dr Cordelia James to investigate poison pen letters sent to her and her staff at a local clinic We also learn a lot about Micky s past as she struggles to put her drinking days behind her.I love Redmann s style, and in Micky and her friends she has created a really interesting group of characters.

    8. I really enjoyed the first volume in this series but thought this one was quite disappointing in comparison In the first book the plot was really engaging and reflected a lot on the main character s background In this one the mystery was quite incidental and unrealistic and the majority of the book was failed romance than any detective work There were no hints as to who could be doing the murders till they showed up In the end the reasons, when revealed, just seemed really flimsy and unrealisti [...]

    9. C1992 This was a recommendation from in the crime genre It was not quite what I expected and I really should read the synopsis before ordering At about Page 18, I was going to give up on it but somehow the characters started to get a bit , well, developed Definitely disturbing in some ways but a very interesting plot and I was nowhere near guessing who the perp was However, it was the emotional confusion that carried the book and the various relationships and concerns were deftly handled Typo on [...]

    10. Product description Micky Knight had a pleasant evening to look forward to she was running security at a swank party full of beautiful lesbians and gay men A dead body ruins the affair When dead women are found the police target Dr Cordelia James as the killer The same Cordelia who broke Micky s heart As Micky works to expose the killer she tries to keep her heart hidden But the killer and Micky keep getting closer to Cordelia .Deaths of Jocasta has long been out of print and a prized find at u [...]

    11. I had liked the first of the Micky Knight series and had really liked it This one fell a bit short, I believe although I gave the same rating to both I like the writing and I absolutely love the characters and their interactions I love how sarcastic Micky is, it s sexy But it was hard to read about Micky going back to her old ways, simply following wherever her vagina leads Her sexual relationship with Joanne made me a bit confused, and angry I wish she d fought for Cordelia , but instead she ju [...]

    12. I thought this was supposed to be a mystery, with a private detective, but it was really just a romance novel I was over 70 pages into it, and ya someone died after a long time into the book , but that was just an afterthought to the main character s constant thinking about sex and fights with friends they re just milling around this big party the person who died probably died of boredom sometimes i can read romance type mysteries, if there s something interesting to go with it, something i can [...]

    13. Second Micky Knight novel.I didn t mean to read this in one day, I really didn t I had stuff to do and places to go yeah, didn t work out that way My body was tired, my brain a bit slow perfect day for hanging out and reading.I cannot express how much I enjoy diving into Micky s world and catch up on what I had forgotten And I had forgotten a lot, this series is so complex that I remembered only the bare bones It s been a while since I ve read lesfic with such complex and real characters The lan [...]

    14. This is probably of a 3.5 but overall another good read in this series It had some twists I didn t see coming but there was one point near the end where I had to wonder why Micky s spidey sense was not going off Given everything else going on, she accepted the event at face value just a little too quickly for her character It wasn t fatal though This volume deals with abortion clinic bombings among other things.

    15. The 2nd of the Mickey Knight mysteries Mickey is a lesbian detective in New Orleans Mickey is one of the most engaging literary detectives her failings are believable, her detective abilities less than Holmesian, and her choice of reading material is excellent Redmann has writeen a series with an exceptional cast of characters, most of whom I would like to have as friends This book, pigeonholed as a genre lesbian read, is excellent for content, character and plot.

    16. Sadly, this mystery was terrible It was like the dead bodies of women thrown around the clinic and the overall arch of trying to figure out the killer lay in the lazy background of lover melodrama and posturing It was like high school shenanigans Sigh The first book was good but now I am hesitant to move on to the third Sigh.

    18. read all of her books back to back and really loved them and was beginning to think that I was really a lesbian and not a gay male I think that absolutely anyone can enjoy these books My sister read Intersection and loved it.

    19. In this, the second book of the series, Micky has turned out to be a loudmouthed, angry, bitter jerk of a drunk and it was nowhere near as fun to read as the first book I won t be buying any of the series.

    21. Well written, fast paced lesbian mystery, set in New Orleans Enjoyable characters and an interesting spin on right to life violence There was a bit too much redundant angsting but apart from that, I m looking forward to reading of this author s work.

    22. I continue to love this series, and Micky, despite her faults Plot twist and the end that was out of character for Micky, but still a great read.

    23. The entire series is amazing Hope you started at the beginning JM Redmann is one of my favorite authors

    24. Love sequels that can stand alone Had no idea there was a prequel until years after i read it and i don t feel i lost anything by not reading it Great read

    25. I enjoyed the book just as much this time as I did the first Very well put together and makes me hate Danny even than I did from the first book.
